Metro Council Meetings

 

The Louisville Metro Council meets the second and fourth Thursdays of every month at 6 p.m. in the Council Chambers of City Hall. 

 

National Night Out

 

National Night Out is a unique crime/drug prevention program designed to:

  • Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness

  • Generate support and participation in local anticrime programs

  • Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships

  • Send a message to criminals that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back

The 7th Metro Council District is protected by both the 5th and 8th Metro Police Divisions.  Both divisions are sponsoring National Night Out events.

 

5th Division

Tuesday, August 3

6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

2301 Douglass Blvd.

Free cookout, inflatable for kids, live music, and numerous police displays.

 

8th Division

Tuesday, August 3

6 pm. – 8 p.m.

Westport Village

Hot Dogs, Child ID Booth, live music, face painting and clowns
